What with not being out much lately was looking forward to today.Wasnt much wind about when driving down, got there at 10.30ish & the beach was empty but it was sunny, blowin 14-20knts with well spaced waves, nice.Rigged the 5.7 & big board.by the time i had got changed it had picked up a little, but was'nt gonna ghange down without even getting wet! Big mistake by the time i made into the Soup it was still increasing, had 1 short very overpowered run of about 100ft. Got off quickly put up 5.0 & got back on but it was now 4.5 wind.Sailed for a while-overpowered but didnt attempt to go out the back as was travelling at stupid speeds & out on my own? there was now mases of white water everywhere & very little room between them.Got off once again to get wave board.Big black clouds were now rolling in,& then rain.the wind went upto bout an 8,so decided not to get back on as it was really rough now.Went into town for a while & then back down the beach, the sun was back out,the sea was alot calmer as the tide was dropping, the wind meter was showing 26-35knts but still no one else about so didnt bother to get back on,didnt fancy the cold wet suit either,if it was summer i would have.
